Tammy Bonifield grew up on the West side of Michigan in the small farming community of Lowell. She attended Michigan Technological University and received a BS in Business Administration. While at Tech she joined Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and began her life of service and leadership.
Tammy and her husband Brad have two sons, Tristan and Trevor. Tristan earned a Master's in Bio-Chemistry from Michigan Tech and Trevor is working toward a Welding Associate's Degree at Schoolcraft College. Both boys earned the high honor of Eagle Scout.
Tammy works in Northville in accounting and finance at The CFO Group where she has been for the past 11 years. She is currently in her 10th year on the Livonia Public Schools School Board, Treasurer of her sorority housing board, and sews for Days for Girls.
Along the way, Tammy has held many roles. Among them are 6 years on the National Council for Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, executive board member of many Parent Teacher Associations at her children’s schools, as well as, Treasurer of Livonia PTA Council. She received the Michigan PTSA Volunteer of the Year award. Boys Scouts was family time. Brad and the boys held the position of Quartermaster for many years and Tammy was the Treasurer. Summer vacations consisted of Boy Scout camp and weekend campouts.
Tammy and Brad have been avid beekeepers since 2012 and enjoy summers at their lake cottage.
Tammy was introduced to the Livonia AM Rotary Club during a campaign stop for the Livonia School Board in 2012. She was hooked at the very first meeting and has never stopped going back. She is Club Past-president 2015-2016, President 2022-2023, and has held the role of Treasurer for many years.
