Touch a Truck
The Churchill Interact club is hosting Touch-A-Truck, which is a hands-on family event that provides a unique opportunity for children and adults alike to explore vehicles of all types including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain awesome – all in one place.
They can hear sirens, watch the tractor bucket move, learn how they operate all up close and hands on. Children will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who help to build, protect and serve our community.
WHEN AND WHERE
We cannot wait to host Touch a Truck 2019! This is our third year organizing this event and we are thrilled to provide a fun, hands-on program that entertains children of all ages!
Last year we hosted over 6,000 visitors with a lineup of more than 40 vehicles including a helicopter! Here is some important information regarding the event this year:
Date: Saturday, July 27th, 2019
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Location: Greenmead Historic Village Special Event Parking
Address: 20501 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48152
Parking Fee: $1.00 donation requested
In consideration of visitors who are sensitive to loud noises, Touch a Truck 2019 is offering a “quiet hour” beginning at 9:00 AM on July 27th. The regular event will commence at 10:00 AM promptly.
Thank you to those who provide helpful feedback on how we can improve the event.
All donated proceeds and sponsorships go to support local organizations, such as our Livonia Police and Fire, the LPS Education Foundation, and many others.
While Touch a Truck is a completely free event, we do ask for a $1.00 parking donation. These proceeds directly help local organizations that serve our community on a daily basis.
For the half the price of a coffee, you can entertain the entire family and build precious memories that will last forever. We can't wait to see you there!
