Our Rotary District 6400 family came together this past Tuesday evening to celebrate leadership, fellowship, and tradition. More than 240 Rotarians representing 54 clubs across the district gathered to thank outgoing District Governor Linda Morrow for her year of service and to witness the induction of our new District Governor, Kim Spirou.
The evening delivered everything we look forward to each year—warm fellowship, great food, and of course, the sunflower seeds and the famous “Red Pop,” a Meet the Governor staple that never disappoints.
For 74 consecutive years, the Harrow Rotary Club (Ontario, Canada) has proudly hosted this signature event, continuing one of the longest-running traditions in our district.
Livonia AM Shows Up Big
Livonia AM may have had the largest presence in the room. Club members in attendance included: Nancy Darga, Erin Dobbins (Matt), Victoria Haltom, Tammy Bonifield, Sharon Pomerville, Peter Dale, Bob Carris, Claude Kendrick, Tom Martin, Wayne Kinney, Dave Stechholz, and Bill Friske. They were joined by. Drew Buatti (Livonia Noon) and Tonya Clayton (Taylor Rotary)
A Special Invitation
A few of us who serve at the district level were invited to a pre‑celebration reception at a beautiful cottage on the Canadian side of Lake Erie—a memorable setting to begin an evening dedicated to Rotary leadership and service.
