The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Erin Dobbins. The Invocation was given by Bob Carris. The meeting was a Club Assembly and there were 15 members present and 2 from Zoom land. Happy Bucks were collected by Sharon Pommerville.

Passport to Safety went well, and there were many volunteers. A total of 250 Pizzas were devoured during the course of the day. There will be a count of attendees in a week or two.

Jacki Graham from the noon Rotary club was one of our guests at the meeting, and she announced that she will be Secretary of the noon club next year and that she will also be VP of the Livonia Lions Club. Congratulations Jackie!

Our Special Guest was Isolina Carlini, Classroom English and Language Arts Teacher and Robotics Administrator for Livonia Public Schools.

The Robotics Club started 18 years ago and Isolina has been the Admin since the beginning, even though when it started, she knew nothing about robotics. When it started, there were just 12 high school students. It now includes Middle school and recently, elementary school was added. The high school club is named the Livonia Warriors and includes students from Churchill, Stevenson, and Franklin. There are now a total of 264 student members in the different grade levels and they have volunteered 2,295 service hours. The robotics students are from all walks of life.

There are several Livonia businesses that sponsor the Robotics Teams. The Livonia Warriors were the World champions in the Texas competition. They have international impact, including with Robotics students from Nigeria, and have a big presence on Social Media, Innovation in programming and Function and Design.

The LPS Robotics club has a Newsletter and now has a Podcast. They also do fundraising for the club and have a goal of keeping students as adults in Livonia.

Erin presented Isolina with the AM Rotary 4-Way Test Soccer Ball.

Greg Greene had 3 jokes to end the meeting.
