Annual Thanksgiving Breakfast

The Annual Thanksgiving Breakfast held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving was full of hugs and greetings as the event welcomed, for the first time, former members and volunteers.

The festive event was held at George’s Senate Restaurant in Northville off Haggerty Road. George graciously welcomed us and sent four complimentary waffles with fruit toppings to our tables, making the gathering feel more festive. We took a moment to give thanks for each other and our club's accomplishments this year.

We adopted the Wine Tasting Event at the annual Livonia Spree Celebration.

We renegotiated an agreement with Rotary International to

continue producing and selling our soccer ball with the four-way test printed in 16 languages.

We also generated more income for our projects than in any other year to date.

Tim Belanger, one of our club's charter members, attended and made a $1,000 donation to the Rebuild Rotary Park Project, helping us get within striking distance to our $100,000 goal.

Steve Alexander's arrival

was greeted with cheers as his schedule does not allow his attendance at our usual weekly meeting time.

Therese Maggioncalda, the District 6400 Governor-Elect, attended, as did Linda Hollman, one of our volunteers from Livonia Cares.

The food was delicious, the service great, and the conversation flowed

amongst the group. Yes, we have much to be grateful for.
