Meet Our Newest Members

Livonia AM Rotary is proud to introduce the  two newest members of our club. Kelly Abdilla (5/3 Bank) and Cory Moore (Metro Agency Insurance). The two were inducted into Rotary today by our Rotary District Governor Paul Sincock. Cory has been a friend of our club for some time and we hoped we'd eventually sign him. Kelly researched service organizations, picked us and immediately launched herself into volunteer service within her first week of visiting our club. We consider ourselves very lucky to have Kelly and Cory as part of our Rotary family!

New Morning School Visits Livonia AM Rotary

Our club was grateful to have been introduced to New Morning School’s wonderful science program and summer science camp. It was a lively presentation. We were shown how much the students learn in science class and in their Summer Science Camp. New Morning School’s head of school, Elaine Kennedy was presented with a 4-Way-Test soccer ball from our club, while we were presented with a replica of the rotary wheel -- created by a 3D printer purchased through a donation to New Morning School.

Numerous members of the Rotary Club of Livonia AM volunteered at Gleaners Community Food Bank. We were among 36 total volunteers that were on hand to help Gleaners fulfill that day's operations. We were organized into an assembly line that sorted 5,600 lbs of apples into family sized bags. Then we filled 400 pantry packs of food to be shipped to area food pantries for distribution to area families. An estimated 14,720 lives will be affected by this effort.
