Our Rotary Clubs of Livonia Social Outing this past Thursday was a great success! Members from both our Livonia A.M. Rotary Club and the Livonia Noon Club gathered for an evening of fellowship, and we had a terrific turnout from both groups. Club Meeting Featuring Isolina Carlini, Livonia Public Schools
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Erin Dobbins. The Invocation was given by Bob Carris. The meeting was a Club Assembly and there were 15 members present and 2 from Zoom land. Happy Bucks were collected by Sharon Pommerville. Passport to Safety went well, and there were many volunteers. A total of 250 Pizzas were devoured during the course of the day. The Great Pollinator Challenge
District Governor Elect Kim Spirou announced the great pollinator challenge and encourages each club in D6400 create or expand on an existing pollinator garden during her term. This is part of the District Action Group initiative which is a refined version of PDG Noel Jackson’s initiative to have a district level version of Rotary Action Groups serving the seven areas of Rotary international’s focus. Club Assembly
This meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer by Rev. David Stechholz. The meeting was a Club Assembly. We had 17 people in attendance. The first part of the meeting focused on Karl Peters, who was Director of the Livonia Senior Center; he retired soon after we moved into the new senior wellness center.
